WHAT'S IROCOH?
IROCOH is textile and surface design work by Alisa Benfey, currently based in Tokyo, Japan.
The name IROCOH came from a reverse reading of the Japanese word "HOKORI" which means both "Pride" and "Dust". The word "IRO" also means "Color" in Japanese.
Each work is designed with the intention of it being a colorful long-lasting design, so people can use it for a long time with pride, and until it becomes dust.
Alisa Benfey is also known for her graphic design work. www.alisabenfey.com
